The summer 2013 Everton transfer rumourZ thread

Why would they pay more then the clause? that is silly.

Why? The clause has expired, so we have absolutely no obligation to sell.

His value in the current market (& to us) is more than the clause value. If someone wants to take him this summer, then they're going to have to pay a price that leaves us 'with no real option' but to sell. That figure is not anywhere near £18m.

Any club that didn't get more than 20M for that feller needs to be taken to the cleaners as well. It'd be a complete piss take if he went for anything short of 25M.

If we had someone like Levy negotiating transfers, I'd expect around £28-30m.

With that sh*tehawk we've got? We'll get our pants pulled down again.

Expecting it mate. I think Moyes was the driving force behind getting so much for Lescott, tbh.

If he was worth 28 then the clause would have been snapped up, it would look silly for Man u to bid more then the clause now. They value him less then 23 million. The club can be tough but Martinez already said he doesn't want to keep players who don't want to play for the club.

Wouldn't surprise me if Arsenal came back in it, which would change things

was watching arsenal - villa with a mate who is huge arsenal fan, after yesterday he is convinced wenger wants fellaini

that would be good cause maybe it would push the price up...i think we will get £24-25m

We should never sell to Arsenal, they are a domestic rival.

They couldn´t beat Villa at home yesterday. Now they want one of our best players to, in essence, climb above us and the other contenders for European spots. No thanks, keep your money.

If he's going then ideally we need more than one club to chase him. Neither Arsenal or Utd can afford to be seen to lose out on another target. It'd be a pissing contest.

oh if it would be that simple x

Odds on us having no plans aside to spunk 15m on the remarkably average McCarthy if and when Fellaini goes? Kenwright will be made up. "I'll get you into the Champions League," he said!
