Martinez is working within a tight budget... and is probably operating at the moment of the assumption that Fellaini and Baines are staying. Being optimistic he might have somewhere between £10-15m and will want to get one marguee signing (a striker) out of that. So if he wants say 3 players he won't be in a rush to spend much more than £4m on any one other than the striker. Of course Heitinga might go generating £4-5m but that would than require a central defensive replacement.

Yes it is, we should be targeting players 25 and younger to combat our aging squad.

You can't just rule out anyone over 25 because of their age. Maybe if you're paying £15+ million for a player with a few years left but not for £4m.

27 is a player in their prime. You'd expect at least 5 good years out of them.

That BarcaStuff on twitter just quoted i think the Mirror (Yes i know they are probably chatting **** but this is a rumor thread) saying that we are looking to bring in Rafinha Alacantra on loan. Thiago's brother (Thiago being the one supposedly going to united) so that they family will move over and will be able to stay in the same house and that this Rafinha wants first team football (Plays for Barca B).

Also i seen an article saying that Rafael (Rafinha) is actually the most technically gifted out of the two. Don't like improving other teams players for them but this lad looks like he could bring something to the table.

4m would be a disaster IMO, 1m top.
