was rooney's when he started?my norwegian friend is saying he starting to find goals that match his performances, not even messi scored masses when he was young,no=one really does
As a 15-year-old, Jose Baxter finished top scorer in the Milk Cup. According to the Everton Youth Academy director Ray Hall he is a much better player than Rooney was at 14/15. He has broken Patrick youth goal scoring records at International youth level and has broken Rooney's, Rush's and Owen's records at club youth level. He has also has secured himself sponsorship from Nike, at the age of only 15. He is hyped as the best prospect in the North West and even England has been courted by Man Utd and Chelsea. Baxter has represented Everton Under-8s at the age of 14, England Under-17s at the age of 14, and is sure to follow in Wayne Rooney’s footsteps by making an impact on the Everton scene.

He looks skillfull as quick as hell, dunno about the lack of goals though seeing as he plays in the Norweigan league.

This is a myth by the way that players are no good once they reach 30. They are fitter, better looked after, have better facilities than ever, they can play well into their 30s. Signing Donovan at 30, we can easily get 5-6 years out of him. Look at Distin, he plays like hes 25, never mind 35

This.

A lot of people have been getting on Cahill's back this season (and rightly so) because he's been pretty gash. The problem for him is that now that his physicality and stamina is starting to go he doesn't have the footballing technique to slow his game down and still make a good contribution.

Pienaar and Donovan on the other hand both have plenty of footballing skill that they can lean on when their pace and stamina goes downhill. Would we see Donovan bombing down the wings in a couple of seasons ? Probably not, but he'll still be a great footballer.

I thought Donovan would fall under that category of when he lots his pace he'd be gash, his pass against Villa for Victor's goal showed me there is a fine fine footballer there with a brain, not just a speed demon

Hahaha, was meant as a reaction to MG about my Cahill bashing. Nothing personal against Gary Cahill apart from the fact he's playing for a club I can't stand.

Oh, i was wondering about your opinion on a player, Janssen at Ajax, worth looking at?

Sky Sports have said we have enquired with Sunderland about a possible signing of Kieran Richardson aka Craig Charles lol. What do you guys think?

No wonder he looked so good FFS, feel sly on those 7 year olds.

Sky Sports understands Everton have enquired with Sunderland about the possibility of signing Kieran Richardson this summer.

The 27-year-old had been a loan target for Arsenal in January but Arsene Wenger's attempt to lure the versatile midfielder was blocked.

West Ham are also set to enter the race for Richardson but it is Toffees chief David Moyes who has made the first contact about the midfielder who has 12 months to run on his contract.

Moyes is a long-time admirer of the England international and believes his ability to play in a number of positions will make him a valuable addition to the first-team squad.

Richardson is keen to embark on a new challenge and would welcome the chance to play for a club that regularly challenges for the European football places.

The former Manchester United starlet, who has eight caps for England, has not given up hope of playing for his country again having memorably scored a brace on his debut against the United States in 2005.
