The weather is probably better than most places on the UK to be fair.

Every time it cains down with rain it's followed by ace sunshine for a bit. It's been like that for about 2 weeks now.

Other than the weather...meh...it's alright. Depends where you go. Southampton is weird. Nice parts are right next to crap parts. Like Ocean Village, where me and some Saints players used to live is right near St.Mary's which is a bit of a hole.

What are you looking for while you are here? If it's ace drinky places head to Bedford Place. Very studenty but some lovely bars.
 
Yeah the defences may come up later apparently. Those pics are from last year. The river was basically empty a week ago! Exciting

I think the place I'd be is called Whitely? So its damn close to Southampton as opposed to slap bang in the middle of it. Just wanna know if its got loads of clubs etc, I'm more of a pub sort of guy than a pill popper.

Whitely is basically slap bang in the middle of Southampton and Pompey. No idea what it's like there though. It's not far from Fareham which has alright pubs.
