John McLaughlin ... 70's scottish full back

Rod Belfitt ... 70 centre forward signed form Ipswich

Mick Ferguson ... 80's forward

Alan Biley ..one goal in first game then .....

Marc Hottiger ... Curtis stieger look alike full back ,,, awful

Dai Davies ... welsh international goal keeper , when no one in wales played football and he couldnt pay rugby cos he kept droppin the ball ... Dai the drop he was called

David Lawson Left winger who ended up in goal in a game for huddersfield and then we brought him as a goalie ... he 's the one Terry Mc Chips in that Clive Thomas semi ...

I could go on for ages unfortunatley :(

Didn't Brett Angel cost us a million quid? And that was when a million quid was considered a large sum of money!

Some of the names mentioned here - especially from the 70s (Tiger McLaughlin, Dai The Fly, David Lawson) are nowhere near the 'worst Everton player of all time'.

Bernie Wright is a candidate, but he was a cult hero - a bit like Straq.

Bily scored some marvellous goals which rescue him from that category. Remove them and you have a player who missed sitters galore and lost possession far too much.

Decent guitarist, like.

Yes, but that Mahavishnu stuff went over my head. :D

Holdsworth, Nelson and McLaughlin are arguably the best guitarists this country has ever produced, although the London based (biased?) media go on about Beck. Clapton and Page. H, N & M are all from Yorkshire. Must be something in the tea. For me they destroy the London triumvirate. :)

Anyway, back on topic - anyone remember Mike Bernard? He looked like a rugby prop who had eaten too many pies. :)

alex cleland, mitch ward, carl tiler, john spencer, per koldrup, tony thomas, john o'kane, segundo castillo,

4 rightbacks here...3 of which were signed by Kendall in the same season! That's when it became blindingly obvious he should not be a manager anymore

Espen baardsen's wiki page is brilliant: "Baarsden grew up supporting Liverpool FC in Norway, which is actually the country where the majority of Liverpool FC fans reside."

Superb work whoever done that

For pure sh13ness and failing to live up to the professional standards expected of a PL footballer, no one comes close to Alex Nyarko. Other players may have been crap, but he was the most gutless player I've ever seen pull on the Royal Blue shirt, and a disgrace to the club.

Glad I'm not alone in the Ferrari appreciation society. Matteo Ferrari that is.

mattero ferrari hmmm not bad, not bad!

My top 3 cack Toffees players:
Paul Holmes (winces) - anybody who had the misfortune to watch this lad play knows why he's in my list
Ian Wilson -he used to get lots of sympathetic applause when taking corners
John Spencer - difficult to believe he ever started for us

not so difficult to believe he never scored for us though.

those were dark days

Tommy Johnson never scored for us either did he? In fact, I'm not even 100% sure he even played for us!
