The worst Everton player of all time?

I had this conversation with my Leeds-scum-mate the other day. He casually said to me that Joe Parkinson must be up there for us as the worst ever.

After I'd finished beating him to death with his own shoes, i told his widow that no, he wasn't, it was clearly Peter Degn.

Bernie Wright.

From that era I also hated Rioch and remember the Paddock crowd chanting "off off" when he'd done another of his over the top tackles. But Bernie Wright was just terrible.

I've not followed Everton for so long so I'll say Van der Meyde.
You can have a crap player no one thought were going to work out anyway, so in my opinion they shouldn't be on here.
It's the ones that came, that got cocky, that carried expectations and miserably failed to live up to them that make the worst players to play for a club.
And this is definately what Van der Meyde was, brilliant prodigy, ex-Inter, he was going to be the shizzle. Well, that didn't work out too well did it?
I'd have paid to get rid of him to be honest.

Joe Parkinson was awesome, (a manc wishing he was born on Merseyside) I used to model my own playing style on him! Did he retire through injury? Memory plays tricks on me.
Him and Ebrell, minor legends!

We had some stinkers, can I vote for Mike Walker: Manager.

Footnote: Clogs can cause more pain to the living than shoes, if you have any on hand

I remember when we signed Phil, it might be him until he realised he was a blue and plays with his heart for us! (ish)

ithink that just about nails it:lol::lol::lol:

We have had a few awful right backs haven't we. Paul Holmes, Tony Thomas, Marc Hottiger, Mitch Ward, John O'Kane, Alec Cleland.
Peter Degn was shocking and Danny Williamson, just for the fact that we gave West Ham Unsworth and a bit of cash and Williamson gave us 15 league games and retired. Shame i thought he was going to be a good player.
