Alrite guys, i dont post here a lot but I wanted to get some opinions on this...

the link at the bottom is to a website dedicated to a movement of people who believe that the monetary system is fundamentally flawed and has to be abolished in order for us all to have better lives.

Sounds a bit heavy.... it is really I suppose. It would be the biggest change in our history as a race.

What the guy who started the movement (a guy called Jaque Fresco) is basically saying is that we are being controlled by debt that can never be repaid. The reality is that on earth we have the resources and power to get rid of the system we are currently using. A system that sees people suffer and die for ABSOLUTELY NO REASON.

Im no where near articulate enough to get a decent amount of info about it in this box so if anything i have typed so far has struck a chord with you, click the link and take the time to read the overview on the site.

This movement is gathering pace but people need to be made aware of it in order for it to make a change for the better for all of us.

Im not a hippy or an anarchist, Im a blue who agrees with these guys.

The Zeitgeist Movement

Just had a skim through it and I wasn't particularly impressed. It reads like the manifesto of a disgruntled sixth former. He made a couple of decent points but then spoils it all by pretending that political organisation is really just a piece of cake. But good on him for spending a week or so knocking together his vision for the future. (n)

i expected this to be a thread about a ball and the amount it can be bent, due to the way it displaces it's shape when ari haan'd in a pair of totectors

then i remembered it's called a teamgeist.

I've heard some about this. Isn't there a film out about it? I'm all for conspiracy theories anyway! (y)

Well Nebbiolo, you know best.

Its not really a conspiracy theory in the traditional sense but im glad that your even slightly interested Cena.

Im not trying to start a revolution lads so dont take the piss too much.

I find it funny how stuff like this struggles furiously to avoid using the word 'class'. Utopian socialism with a New Age twist.

I cant wait to hear what Bruce says about this. :P

The difference between this and socialism is that the venus project (which is Jaque Fresco's project), is putting forward the idea that with the massive advancements in technology over the past decade, industry can be automated to the point whereby people will not have to work and will basically want for nothing.

I know this sounds a bit too good to be true but if you take the time to watch the presentation called Addendum, the ideas would definately become clearer.

before you dismiss it, just watch the first 10 minutes of it or something...
