We're signing him because the manager wants to improve us with a player who is quick, experienced and can score goals.

Stop talking sense as it's not the 'done thing' on here it seems. While he may not be the ideal signing, he ticks a lot of the boxes we've desired.

Is he experienced? Yes. Does he offer the potential for goals? Yes. Can we expect some extra width, pace and creativity? Hopefully so.

But you know let's spunk all our money initially on a left back, which I do admit is a priority as well, and ignore the glaring deficiency in our game.

Basically just this:

The Everton manager has indicated to the 28-year-old that he sees him as capable of filling different attacking roles, either stationed out wide or playing through the middle, but has underlined that Walcott will be central to his plans.

Plus quotes from last week:
