Was never that sure about him previously, thought he was over hyped from the time he made the World Cup squad in South Korea as a secret weapon. He was that secret he never played a minute, then he scored the trick v Croatia and he saw himself as the new Henry and a flying centre fireworks.

So, I’m just a fan and only say whatIve seen or thought with the absence of all the facts! But, since joining us, I probably hadn’t realised how good a footballer he actually is. Playing regularly you appreciate his quality and those around him on the pitch trust him to deliver given the number of times he gets fed the ball.

Heard from many observers around the club he is a real gentleman, no superstar ego, plenty of time for media lads, the young kids and just gets on with it. I thought he may have acted big time given what he’d actually done and won in the game. From what I’ve heard and seen, none of that, so I owe him an apology for my fan stereo type opinion. That said, I thought he was anonymous at Wolves and is too guilty of not taking g a high enough % of chances presented.....for a side like us, he offers a real danger to the opposition, pace and a footballing intelligence but he ain’t a young lad making his way in the game any more.

Without sounding hash on a player I really like, he has to deliver regularly to get the recognition his ability deserves. Maybe they thought the same at Arsenal but he is a top player and in my (now changed opinion), under recognised by fans like me and many observers. Hope he has a stellar season.

Walcott is a bit similar to Sterling in the sense that even if he isn't up for it, he will almost always have an impact in this side just because he is so gosh darn fast.

It would be nice to see him move a little bit toward the higher volume side though. Richarlison too for that matter but if it is based on this year that Wolves game hurt us because we had basically only Richarlison's goal as our shots after the red card so not a big deal yet
