He is 31 in March so his transfer value will begin to drop fast soon. At the moment I think we could get £12m from someone (at least) but the club are not planning sales. His wages of 100k means a lot of clubs will try to convince us to sell him on the cheap in the summer.

Don't think we could sell him if we tried, he has been an awful signing, all his bad traits at Arsenal have been multiple ten fold at Everton, to the extent he's stealing a wage here.

I’ve been at loads of games where he hasn’t looked arsed, and for the greedy bit, he’s on £100k a week.

Spotrac has it as Bernard at 120k. They're very reliable for American sports contracts but I don't know how they do on PL stuff. Although I'm struggling to find anything not using their numbers.

Probably end up on loan with an option to buy like Tosun

100k a week isn't greedy, not in this sport. I think he's always tried. Although I personally think very few players of ours are in the category of deliberately not giving a crap on the field. Basically it's like Schneiderlin and Williams for me.
