*If* this is genuine then it means they weren't joking when they said free transfers and loans will be what we're looking at.

To be honest, it's not everyone's cup of tea for a multitude of reasons but in that context it is more palatable, I guess.

More likely that they want to spend in midfield and this can see us through next season at the back. Or our number 1 target is now out of reach
