I've always been fascinated by castles and all what they meant for the local people, from surpression, as in Wales and Scotalnd, to defence as in those along the south coast. I was particularly impressed with Bamborough Castle in the N East, very very very impressive. If that ediface was situated down south it would never be off the TV screens. As for education, self taught in the main, I was generally speaking a total nark at school, a rebel hated teachers and all they stood for
