Not talking about the obvious things here like getting married, yer kids, yer mar etc, I’m talking about the little things in life you may have achieved that you’re proud of. Could be passing an important exam or wallpapering a room for the first time.
2 of my little smug moments came almost 10 years apart when I won the Father’s Day race at my kids school sports day … made my kids happy too. What little things have made you happy ?

I'm proud to say that over the years I have taken each of my Grandchildren to Goodison Park. Only one of the five was 'chosen' to be an Evertonian, but he is now as fanatical as I ever was and comes regularly with me.
We are both on the waiing list for season tickets. (Chances are that I will expire before the waiting list does ) but it makes me proud as a peacock to know that he will be cheering the blues on at the new stadium long after I have gone. 💙

Was in aqua therapy a couple of weeks back and spotted something glinting in the deep end as I limped round. Turns out it was some older ladies antique gold bracelet that had been her aunts. It had snapped so was barely hanging together but I got it and handed it to one of a legion of lifeguards (they do get worried when the knackered are in) - turns out she'd rang up when she realised she'd lost it, has collected it and it's with a jeweler for repair. It was heavy enough to be gold but the finish seemed tarnished, a bit more brassy that bright gold. Could have been the age of the thing or maybe the chlorine in the pool having a reaction. Anyway, body might be just about fit for the tip but the old peepers are still going.
