Ok so WTF? Now your sayin your only 17!???????

What the frickle!!!

Queen are ace.

But I agree, I hate the whole pub club scene, some might says its because im highly anti-social and they would be correct. It also has a lot to do with my choice of lifestyle, I dont like drinking that much, never have really, much prefer to have a good smoke!!

When I first started goin out with my current g/f she was only 19, so I had to make an effort and go out with her and her mates, who where all 19 and younger. I was 29 FFS. Hated every single second of it.

Here, Here. (y)

Agreed in this area but only in more recent times. Only Fools, Porridge, Rising Damp, Fawlty Towers, George & Mildred, Terry & June etc etc are old time classics and they just dont make them like that these days.

it's all dated and most of it has racist themes as main story lines. damn, just put a bit of black polish on one of the main actors and listen to that canned laughter go off in overdrive! i still wince at some of those benny hill episodes.

my advice to you steevie is quit living in the past!

fawlty towers is superb though, a real stand out due to it's brilliance.

black adder has to be regarded as superb also. although were they bbc2 on original transmission?

i agree, thats why i would only recommend going after a bear full in a good ale pub with at least 10 like minded chaps and lasses. the stone roses never sounded so good in the right company^^

Not that I'll be going clubbing with 10 like minded lads and lasses in the near future, FFS!!!

Agreed. Only Fools and Horses makes me cringe with some of the jokes. Very dodgy.

Quite a controversial post mate. Fawlty Towers is superb but dont forget references in that aimed at Germany in the war. Your correct that certain racist themes where made, more so in In Sickness and In Health. The problem though in this day and age, is that everything is so damn politically correct. Benny Hill was quite innocent compared to some of the more recent material. There is nothing wrong with still enjoying the good old classics because they are a damn site better than the garbage they put on these days. (y)

You can't be racist against German people if you're white, Anglo-Saxon, because it's the same race at that (minus the Anglo), which inhabits much of Germany.

But the 1970s comedy tree was certainly on the edge about it's treatment of people with black or brown skin. When you see that kind of stuff today, it does often make you cringe.

Used to get frustrated with Fawlty Towers...the farce style comedy milked the jokes too much for me.

Talking of un-pc... Love thy neighbour... need to be old to remember that one. :)

Seen a few old b&w On The Buses recently on ITV2, another un-pc classic :o
