The only thing, I could possible see as a healing thing, would be catching the culprit responsible for his crash. Also R.I.P. to your mate Jesse.

i agree, punishing the girl responsible for jesse dying would make things easier. unfortunately her mates got to the only witness who saw it all, blamed him (17yrs old) and he hung himself. 2 innocent and avoidable deaths because of one stupid girls driving skills. Unbelievable!
It really upsets me when people lose their lives due to reckless/dangerous driving, why can't they lose their own - they're at fault not the innocent casualties.
I hope your mate is in a better place now and keeping an eye on you!

I'm the road safety manager for a local authority and every day I read details of crashes where innocent people are caught up in tragedy as a result of someone making an error of judgement, being distracted while driving or by being plain stupid and reckless. My job is made much harder by people's attitude to speeding (speed limits don't apply to me), people not accepting that they may not actually be the best driver in the world and more than anything, people's impatience on the roads. With some younger and less experienced drivers, even the slightest mistake can result in a collision.

Over 90% of 'accidents' are not accidents, they are caused by driver error or misjudgment. That's a fact.

In the time it's taken to read this thread, dozens of people wil have been seriously hurt in crashes, by midnight tonight, quite probably 11 people will have lost their lives.

Funny how we never see that as a headline on the news.

Sorry to be a bit morbid but I never want to read about any of you guys in my daily stats reports.
