(joking to one side, my old fella had it and I am terrified of the bloody illness because of the consequences to those around you, you are ther last one to know )

I lost my grandmother last year, she'd had Alzheimers for a few years leading up to her death, she'd been married for over 60 years, it was heartbreaking seeing her look at my grandad and wondering why a strange man was in the house.

tellin ya . she still knows me , but the others , her daughters , not always , and the kids , intermittently . she was a top blue herself at one time , but apart from asking me how weve got on , and good luck before the game , shes forgotten about it . My dad was agressive with it, you could see in him the really bloke bewilderede because his body, mind and actions he was making were not those he intended. His frustration only served to make mmatters that bit harder, it was a total release when he died

My Mum is nearly 83, had numerous strokes, memory shot to pieces, in a nursing home for which her house had to be sold to help pay for the fees of £2000 per month. Now appears to be succumbing to the Big A. I have to manage all her finances and it sucks.

I've got that in our family, seen a few members of my family succumb to it. Terrible, terrible disease.

My Mum is nearly 83, had numerous strokes, memory shot to pieces, in a nursing home for which her house had to be sold to help pay for the fees of £2000 per month. Now appears to be succumbing to the Big A. I have to manage all her finances and it sucks.

thats why i am here lad . not that she had a house to sell like . ive got a degree and speak a couple of languages so i could have a decent job , but in truth , id have it no other way . thats the point . me nans aggresive with it now too . whos to say what the reaction of some .. well you cant generalise i know , but you hear some nasty stories . nah , she was there for me a a kid , plus she was the coolest nanna in lpool in that not only did she have a season ticket , but her brother-in-law worked on the gate at both ours and the [Poor language removed] . thus , anfield rd for the derby was never a problem . never . anyway , you do it . thats what ive been tryna say since i started . tho the system is a [Poor language removed] disgrace . you have my sympathy lad . lcab

by the way , im sure your mums place is fine . i wasnt bein funny . tho ours wouldve been nhs , and we initially tried it when she first got sick . me ma came at half past 2 , me nan was still in her nightdress , and the young bint was sitting reading the paper and watching the tele . me mother launched her down the stairs , and well ive been here pretty much ever since . no offence lad , honest . lcab
