I am from Nashville, TN (USA) currently and grew up in Atlanta, GA (where a new MLS team was formed). I coach American football and baseball at a Catholic High School in Nashville. In addition to that, I am a video editor for Yahoo! and specialize in college football recruiting news. I ran across Jdawg on our forum and he led me here. I became an Evertonian about 5 years ago. For most of my life, I had never really liked football (soccer) because it seemed like a weak sport, and where I'm from, the youth leagues were mostly terrible. I was into American football, baseball, golf and basketball. I started becoming interested in soccer, forgive my American term, when I started playing FIFA on playstation. Then I watched the World Cup in 2006 and said that I would support U.S. Soccer and leave it at that. Well, then I watched the Champions league final the next year, I believe Man U beat Chelsea. From there I got hooked, I began to think about finding a team to support. I went through the list: Man U, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Barcelona, Real Madrid, AC Milan, Celtic all teams I had played with in FIFA. I decided that I wanted to pick a side with an American, and at the same time, I joined an adult league and became the keeper. I got pretty good at for just picking up the game 1 month prior to the season. Ultimately I looked at the top 4 in England and decided I didn't really connect and then I watched Everton play Fulham. Howard vs. Dempsey at Goodison Park. Atmosphere was electric and the fans were jacked up the entire way. I think Everton even lost that day. It was there I had decided that Everton was my team and they even had an American star, Tim Howard and later picked up Landon Donovan on loan. When I can afford it, I'm coming to Goodison and wearing the Blue. Thanks to Jdawg, I can come here, learn, and have a place where I can read about Everton. Great to be here and let's get that UEFA CL spot...

YES!

You can help me pick a US college football team to follow

How do y'all view the MLS? My hometown just got a team...I think it's a league that has potential, and is the home for players from all Central American countries and S. American countries not named Brazil or Argentina...

When they stop employing over the hill European footballers, you'll know that it's starting to get good..........

Bryan,
The University of Georgia has a great program and mighty fine pom pom girls...Game 1 vs. Clemson, in Athens, should be a great one to watch, plus they compete in the greatest league in CFB...the SEC

I do believe that is @Astro78 team.

Therefore I adopt them as mine.

Maverick,
Jozy can be better than he is...physically is probably the best athlete we've got, but for some reason struggles to find his form. He's done so recently on the national side, but not sure what's going on with him on the club side. What are y'all's thoughts on him? Hypothetically, let's say Everton signs him in the summer, what would be the reaction?

Altidore signs => Mass suicide ?

Welcome mate btw and well in to JDawg for pointing you towards GOT.
