Fair enough. I don't want to disrupt.
But I have just said what I believe. If you all want to take offence then that's up to you, but no offence to any individual is intended.
i'll pass on this one for the time being
I just don't think it is all sweetness and light. For example, when the club is in the [Poor language removed], its not a very pleasant place to be. But now because the club is doing well, we have little to complain about. But I just don't think this place is a place where we can share opinions and be safe that opinions are going to be accepted.
i'll say it as i see it, and if needed defend my opinion - i try hard to not let it get personal, **resorting to abuse is a sure fire way to lose an arguement - this isnt aimed at anyone in particular, its a lesson i learned a while back.
I am guilty of that too, and I am trying to not be so "I'm right and your wrong" about everything.
no one gets everything right every time, the entirity of the board also cant agree on every subject. my political views especially on crime and punishment are very very choice indeed. i dont mind, i dont need anyone or everyone to agree with me. to sum it up, i dont look for confirmation or validation - i please me first.
Maybe I'm just a drama queen. But the whole Pienaar is a diver thing and he is wrong for doing so really has annoyed me. We think we are perfect. We weren't perfect when Fergie was knocking players out for fun. But nobody complained so much, he was celebrated as being the thug we needed up front.
freudian slip? or do your really like high heels? ferguson is a special case, his contempt for the FA, its officials and the rules they dish out when it suits their agenda. as everton supporters we have suffered through their treatment aplenty and to have someone on the field mirroring the feeling in the stands endeared him massively to all the support. lets not forget, he served time for sticking the head on another player - cantona visited a few schools after the unprovoked assault on a member of the public for his punishment. bowyer and dyer. hartson kicking berkovich in the face. shearer and the elbows. kevin [Poor language removed] davies. roy keane.
Even last summer when the argies got dumped out by the germans there was violence on the pitch - and what came of it?
i read a review not long ago about 'that' game with leeds at goodison where we lost a player for a punch, and the referee stopped the game for 10 minutes to let the players calm down. that was the revie side of the 60's i think.
Anyway, let me try and turn this into a positive. I do like the fact that people do care, and we do have a mix of many nations here. I do enjoy the banter at times. I also like the commentary situation during matches. Who announces the goal first is like a race against time.
guilty as charged.
I also like it when someone who is clearly bladdered turns up online and tries to make a post.
Oh and I liked the whole jon_efc thing, it was very humane and I like to think we helped. Even though a fair few here were slagging his missus off something rotten. It still came out in the wash.
So in summary, its not bad here, just a little hypocritical from time to time.
just try not to take things to heart, i admit though, sometimes you have to get in the trenches and fight your own corner.
