Oh wow oh my word
Both of the last 2 managers have failed and both were foreigners, why cant we try an English manager for a change. I'm pro Dyche now because I believe we will go down if we gamble on this appointment. A British manager is the least risky move we could make. The core of the squad (I suspect the ones with clout Jags, Baines, Barkely, Williams) are all British I think we need a back to basics approach in the short term, clearly if it works well and Dyche somehow gets us into Europe then he can stay on.

But both previous managers have been crap mate, one relegated and destroyed a club and the other is a journeyman. We might get Tuchel in who's a good foreign manager.

oh wow. KTR supporting the end of the world scenario. What a shock.

We are not in a relegation battle and don't need a fixer

we just need a bloody good manager, wherever they are from

Why does that even matter???

Koeman was the 11th best paid manager in the world. We have lots of highly rated young players and pay better than almost everyone.

I suspect Tuchel may wait until the summer to see if Bayern make a move and if they don't would commit then.

This is the guy we should go for. Took over the mess Klopp left Dortmund in (they were like us this season but even worse, before a 2nd half recovery) and led them to 2 top 3 finishes and won a cup.

He would relish the system we have here and fit it perfectly with our emphasis on young players.

I thought he was in the top 8 managers in the world moneywise?

Equally the last three British managers all failed.

Very good tactical manager, can set a team up well, that's what we need, I do happen to think we have a good team if a manager comes in that knows how to balance and set us up properly.

Can he relate to his players? Or can he be a Charismatic coach to get that bit extra that our lads haven't had so far. I know he has pedigree in Germany but will he be able to get our lads to kick it up a notch. I am beginning to worry about the foreign disconnect with our two prior gaffers.

...looks like he could do with a good dinner. I really don’t know about the fella but I understand he has build a successful team which is a good piece of evidence. Apparently he is ‘open to an approach’ from Everton.

Wanted him here before Martinez mate, his method of play is much better suited to this league than klopps over a season.

He'd develop Barkley hugely and want him to stay imo, and other young players such as Davies, Kenny would benefit hugely from him (as may Dowell)

Earned his spurs at Mainz - and have a liking for a manager who will chance going to win a game over settling for draws - which his two best years at Mainz he did so.

IF he is open to an approach - then we should go all out for him - give him a decent wedge to spend in January - as he would 100% want to bring in pace to this squad and let him do what happened at Spurs after the Bale sale in the following years and get rid of the players he deemed aren't needed before their values plummet massively

Indeed, me neither. It seems people are saying the same things about him as they did about Koeman, and, well.....

Nope - the huge warning signs where there all along from Koemans past - both at Valencia and Benfica most notably

Tuchel has one blemish which is being sacked by Dortmund and it had nothing to do with the teams performance but all about the CEO and him having major disagreements.

Koeman by and large lived of a huge playing reputation, and most of the links to big jobs came from his side, with Tuchel he has earned his reputation as a very good young coach, and the links with him to big jobs come from that.
