Everyone on here raved about Koeman and look how that ended.

Tuchel is that 'sexy' name but he hasn't achieved anything in the game of note.

Do not want.
Thing is we don't have the pulling power (as we've been awful for nearly 3 decades) to get people in who have achieved!!

Welcome Thomas!!!

Yeah Tuchel had 62.96% overall at Dortmund, but why did he go from 70.59 in his first season managing Dortmund to 52.94 in his second?

I think a lot of prospective managers will look at the players already at the club and think that there is a lot of talent there.
Players like Klaasen, Sigurrdsson, Sandro, Keane, Pickford would be regarded as good players albeit hugely underperforming ones.
A manager will look at Coleman, Bolasie and McCarthy who should all be fit in or around Christmas time.
Youngsters like Holgate, Kenny, DCL, Lookman, Vlasic and Davies offer hope as well.

There is a lot of talent around but obviously gaps to be filled as well.
But , managers will look and see good players, see the money that was spent , see the possibility of a new stadium and see an opportunity.

Think they'll see $6M a year, honestly.

But beyond that, it needs to be someone that is comfortable focusing on managing the team and tactics. They have to understand that we've invested quite a bit in a D of F that will take care of finding players. Some egomaniac managers might not be able to handle that.

I think we have a good chance of getting him. We could match his wage demands and promise him funds in January.

Are there any other big jobs likely to come up soon? I can't think of any.

Is he able to speak english, then? I'm not gonna be all UKIP about this thing, but i really believe Koeman's cold attitude combined with his limited language skills really helped with alienating the team.

The last thing we need is a high-up foreign pedigree boss type that sulks in his office plotting who gets to be dropped or rotated next. Which is why i think hiring someone like Ancelotti would be a total scandal.

I'm not saying Tuchel is the same type of person, surely he seems like a Klopp Mk. 2, just less whimsical. But my worry is about being able to connect with the players, the tactical ability means nothing as far as i'm concerned.

His English is boss mate.
