Last night, my mate got battered for no apparent reason.

He's now in a terrible state in hospital, got knocked out because they stamped on his head.

Just been to see him in hospital and he seems to be fine now but how can people batter someone for no reason?

Apparently it started because someone asked him if they could borrow a fiver off him (he didnt know them), he said nah mate, so they battered him.

This country is so [Poor language removed].

Sorry to hear that mate, hope that he fully recovers.

Nothing to do with England though, it's the world that has turned [Poor language removed].:(

happy to find that out cal as comments like the one i mentioned can cause people to form an opinion based on one sentence. i'll be honest, i read it and took it seriously which didnt exactly give you a glowing reference in my eyes.

it's about time the nation stopped swilling stella and filling their noses with aggro powder, get on the real ales which are far tastier and smoke yourselves to a big love-in. it's much better when everyone goes home having not hospitalised anyone.

unfortunately, we seem to be past a point and the only way that we can solve the problem of indiscriminate beatings is to make sentences tougher.
 
Evil bastards who attacked your mate. People say the world is a mess which is untrue. What is a mess is the people who live in it. Hope he is ok lad.
 

Unlucky Cal. I know too many people that have been jumped for no reason. Southport funnily enough is a lot more violent than Liverpool in the evenings I've discovered too.

One of my friends was walking down to Dale St after a night in Dr. Duncs and 2 lads were running toward him. He moved to one side and the 2nd of the lads as he went past slashed my mate down his arm from elbow to wrist with a stanley knife. They never even stopped running and my mate never realised it for about 30 seconds or so(he WAS bladdered). They were never caught.

Look for CCTV mate. That's the key, but invevitably you won't get the tapes, the machine is always the 'broken one'.
 
Call me an old fart, naive or whatever, but I believe individuals have a duty of care towards themselves and that includes not wandering around so intoxicated that they get themselves into these positions. I know many innocent people get attacked etc, but can't help thinking people don't help themselves.

I'll get back into my old fart's corner now :lol:
