…I’ve said it each time we’re looking for somebody, I honestly have no idea. I think it’s lots to do with right person, right place right time.

i know who I didn’t want and that was NES or Benitez. I’d prefer to jump off the manager merrygoround and go for somebody young and progressive rather than one with a history of clubs.

My son in law is a fanatical Leeds fan. He says the ice is cracking under Bielsa. They are too close to the relegation zone. Should we go for him if he is the next sacking? He might be able to terrorise our lesser players into trying harder. We would have the extra salary of his nice little interpreter but why not.

I wanted Lampard & I still do tbh. I think he’d be great for us, good footballing brain, young, motivated and driven. Would attract the right players too. Not worlds of experience but just enough.

He wants full control at any club he goes too . That would never happen here. Don’t forget he walked out on lazio days into the job
