Great, finally got the internet on my phone now so I should have no excuse not to do it as I'm travelling to the game

It doesn't work too well when someone forgets to post so it's always a good idea to send a reminder.. once you get doing it regularly you'll soon remember.

I normally offer prizes and that but this year all my memorabilia is in storage - I aim to sort that out soon (moving to the Wirral) tho.

14 I think.. have I miscounted (already!)
I wasn't planning to play in 2 leagues unless I need to make the numbers up.. I could but it doesn't seem right to me.


We are pretty much there. 15 would be something like a Double Round Robin (28 games) and something thereafter to make it up to around 38-40 - or possibly a triple Round Robin (42 games but that might prove awkward to administer over a season.. there are around 38 league games in the season (but sometimes there are only half week fixtures with postponements making it awkward to organise) and you can add in some of the FA Cup weekends)

So we are there now really and the other 16 in that Forum can pretty much stand alone too .. I just realised what I let myself in for now with FOUR leagues to run as well as the usual Weekly list (random players)..

A few more would be useful tho:

18 can be run as Double RR (34) with a few play-off rounds (4-5 at the end). 20 can be run as a simple Double Round Robin (38 weeks). Even number of entries is easier as no one gets to sit out.

There are 40 on 2 other forums as well to run but I've closed them for now. I spose people might forget and others might be interested to take their place.. in which case I will award a few points as an incentive.

If we did get over 30 playing it can be run as a simple Round Robin with the excess weeks being made up of the Play Off section.

Cheers, I found a site that produces Round Robin fixtures. I reckon before it was more work with all the collating of results but I've generated a few spreadsheets to produce fixtures and update league tables now so - once the results are saved it won't be half as much work as before. The Ranking Lists I used to do will probably go by the board - cos they took a lot longer to produce - although I might do something at the end of the season that reflects consistency (as before).. Who needs a ranking list when a head-to-head league will tell you what you want to know!?

Will keep this open for a couple more days - until the weekend -before finalising the numbers and producing the opening fixtures.
