Never seen long ball so effective
It’s shocking how their full backs are given so much time and space to launch balls; don’t get me wrong, the passes are good but it must help a lot.

I would love our players to get in close to them early on and ‘show them’ that they’re under pressure: close those two down and you could subdue a lot.

Arnold, Robertson and VVD time and time again, game after game given the freedom of the city. Stop these balls at source and teams might have half a chance of cutting out these balls that end up finding the front men.

Yep Henderson also good at the long balls. Hopefully Carlos got a plan

Problem is Phil, which players do we have who can do that consistently during a match? Agree with your theory though.

Richarlison, DCL, Kean, Walcott - all capable of pressuring their back line and not letting them settle.

Whether they do or not though is a different matter mate because everyone seems happy enough to let them have the ball even though it's their defender's who create the most assists.
