might chuck a fiver on ballymena to qualify

My home town team haha lol

Was at the home game of the last round. Our first ever European win!!

Unfortunately being part timers, Malmo proved to be just a little bit too good lol

Hard to believe Malmö who were beaten by Forest in the European Cup Final in 1979 are now having to play qualifiers for the Europa League.

It's a great draw for the club really. We got 400k for getting through the last round, TV money for it being shown on Swedish tv. Not bad for a small town part time outfit.

It is a serious bone of contention in the Republic that the prize money for winning the Premier League is a ridiculous €100k or thereabouts.

European qualification is massive for our clubs. As you say, it is exponentially higher.

Rovers have gone backwards at first team level since the heights of getting to the group stages of the Europa League in 2011. However they have invested very wisely in development and under age.

I don't think we will catch Dundalk this season but we should get 2nd. Next season will be hopefully the one where we see serious fruits of the development work.

Bad night for Pat's and Cork. I still think Cork can get their act together and go hell for leather away. An early goal and they can go on and win.

Pat's also still have a chance.

Very proud of the Hoops and enjoying some cold Guinness. It is also our 27th Wedding Anniversary so Mrs BR having a vine.

Yeah the European money is getting crazy, as you say.

We got 460k euros, about £410k to us, for beating a faroes team. It's insane money and pretty much doubles our income.

The teams in the south have benefitted it seems from playing these games during your season. Whereas we still play winter football and are playing them during preseason. With the money involved, they are really pushing to move our season too, and it's backed fully by Michael O'Neill, who I assume you remember well!. It's probably a matter of time only.

Summer football definitely would make sense for ye. We are 24 games into the season but disappointed with other results tonight.

It also means we have an interest while the Blues are resting!!
