Here we go again, the FIFA corruption circus is back in town
The Swiss authorities have launched a criminal investigation into FIFA president Gianni Infantino regarding his dealings with the Swiss attorney general Michael Lauber in 2017.
FIFA was embroiled in the biggest corruption scandal in its history in 2015 one that was to snare Blatter and Michel 'backhander' Platini in it's net, and Lauber was in charge of the subsequent investigation on events in 2017.
Apparently Infantino had dealings with him which contravened the guidelines and the supervisory body which oversees Lauber has concluded the meetings seriously violated his official and legal duties They were found to have met three times in a fifteen month period the last of which which neither could recall and no notes were taken.
The new pspecial prosecutor Kleiber has already found possible infractions which include abuse of public office, assisting offenders and incitement to these acts.
FiFA have said these meetings were just normal and proper etc . rather reminiscent of their line when the [Poor language removed] hit the fan last time around.
It's all on the media sites, although it'll no doubt go under the radar today with the huge news from St James' Park that Mike is there to stay for the foreseeable ..
