Ake and Koulibaly would turn their fortunes around quickly. Torres is the Silva replacement.

They won't. Ake is entirely the wrong sort of defender, and Koulibaly would be a big gamble. They need a leader / organizer at CB, some proper snide in midfield, a forward who can actually replace Aguero and someone on the other side to Raheem who is a threat. I am not sure they are going to get any of those, but instead they'll get ballers in who will pass loads but get ragged by the RS and everyone else who has gone down the pace route.

TBF Sane and especially Silva leaving should have set alarm bells ringing, something isn't right there and I suspect its the manager having lost his ability to get the players to believe in him.

In some ways this is a bit of a blessing for them because Pep would absolutely have gone into the SF against Bayern and tried to out-football them - they'd have got smashed.

Plopp is without question the best manager in the world atm, IMO.
