Last time this happened was the ban of 1985 when all English clubs got banned not because of LFC but because it was a political happening that was awaiting for all English clubs.
No one bothered who won after that and for sure no one was bothered.
They need the English teams for the money and the enthusiasm that we all bring to Europe.

You can't have a player waltz between five of your players like that. Somebody needs to clip his heels. Must be a bitter pill to swallow that for Lyon. Of their own doing, they should be three up but are one down.

That is some going in deflecting blame that. Papering over 39 Italian lives like it isn't important.
