Fans watch rival teams all the time in the hope they lose. Fair enough if you don't do it, but the vast majority of people across the country do.

Hardly weird to enjoy watching a team you don't really like lose is it?

Sure, if said rival is rubbish, but they’re brilliant so you’re not really watching them lose are you?

Klopp has been absolutely outstanding for me, I remember the mountains of criticism for not signing a different quality centre back the other summer when Southampton insisted van Dijk was not for sale.

Klopp struggled on with the same frailties at the back letting them down time and again because his only number one target couldn't force the move.

van Dijk looked disinterested for Southampton who had a bad start and Southampton relented in the January window.

Klopp knew his defence needed fixing not his attack, even after Coutinho went and only Allison and van Dijk would do.

Reality is that outside the obvious two the rest of the league is rank average. Money and time will see the usual suspects bounce back but this year and even last the gap in quality is as big as the Scottish League was back in the Celtic/rangers days of the 90s and 00s.

VAR has to be the worst addition to any sport ever

It's the people who review it. I think the offside decisions should be handled the same way as the LBW reviews in cricket. If it's a very close call then the linesman's/referee's decision should stand.
