Chelsea top the group on the head to head - Lampard seems to be making progress despite the transfer ban, young team could be decent in a few years

With Spurs maybe, just maybe taking a small step to rescuing their campaign (just like last year - disastrous start) and City scoring five too, Liverpool winning (they usually lose away in Europe, re last year's group phase)

All has an air of deja vu about it, are the Prem clubs going to dominate once again???

Even in the Europa it's noticeable how United as poor as they are this season still top the group, Arsenal's youth or reserve team top their group and even Wolves stand every chance of joining them in the knockout phase.

It very much has the look of last season all over again

One point from the first three games last campaign. I think Poch might stumble on a winning formula by accident rather than design. The run of bad results has made him drop his favourties, players that don't give a toss because they want to move on and players that are just too old for the Premier league.

Fingers crossed anyway!

Wow lol

Best bit of that is that they still went to an Irish bar FFS. Even more amusingly, both Irish bars in the city are located in (from the station) the complete opposite direction to the ground the absolute blerts.

Edit: The punishment of watching AA Gent tonight ought to make them think twice in future. And with only 2 of them, they shouldn't be able to push any walls over in the Ghelamco

All kicking off in sleepy Gent... word is some Wolfsburg fan got hit by a tram. His mates tried to get the driver and the whole centre is now full of polis throwing Germans into vans for a good old shoeing.

Traffic backed up a full kilometre in every direction into the city. Mental.

Speaking of Genk, I recall a while ago, us being in for Genk's Croatian GK...but he had homesickness issues. On the basis of similar ailment afflicting Snail Keane and Wisdom Lookman, (and its deleterious impact on performance), I think it was a wise pass.
