A goal for City and the floodgates will open second half, but my word they are making hard work of these run of the mill games.

Players who peak at 19-22 years old seem more and more prevalent these days

Looks a really good defender now.
26 years old.

The obsession with players in that 19-22 bracket is crazy. Players have dips after bursting on the scene.

How they recover is testament to whether they cope at the top level.

He is 31 now, so can kinda understand it. I also think that Pep is prioritizing the CL, and just focusing on hanging around the RS w/ the hope that they hit a slump/get a rash of injuries.

He's literally in his peak years, never understand why people think 31 is old in footy. If he was 34 I'd understand the benching.

I'd be shocked if Chelsea didn't get third. They don't have the superstar in Hazard anymore but they still have probably 15-20 players who would get into most teams regularly. It really is up to Lampard to not screw it up.

4th is open though. And as much as Leicester's current run imo is 50/50 skill vs good fortune, you've still won the games to put yourselves in position. Is every single player on your team beside the CBs going to continue to finish chances at an above average to elite level? I wouldn't think so but weird things happen.
50% good fortune?

Over the last 20 games we’ve got something like 17 more points than Spurs, 16 more than Man U, 8 more than Arsenal, 4 more than Chelsea.

Good fortune doesn’t get you through 20 games like that.

its hard to pin point I guess. Its almost like young players are taking a too big step up. Stones didn't have a great final season w/ us, there was obvious holes in his game. Same w/ Barkley. Instead of staying and getting more experience, they moved to the bench of a bigger club.

247 appearances since 2011, plus probably around 70 for country. Admittedly that's not too many miles. I guess you have to believe that someone just Jesus can dispatch AV.
