I couldn't disagree with him. The foundations he put down were a major part of that season. Ranieri pretty much came in, charmed the media, created a feel good factor but pretty much kept things the same from the great escape. I get that he comes across as an oddball but he's actually a really decent bloke. Met him a few times and he's far chirpier than his media persona. His lack of tolerance of the media is probably what holds him back

He absolutely started the momentum with that ridiculous relegation escape. Not a clue what players were added after he was booted, like you say, Fox will confirm, or not.
