Marine from Crosby have reached the third round of the FA Cup for the first time in eighteen years and only the second time in their history - equaling their best ever record.

The semi professional part timers from the 8th tier (the Northern Premier league north-west division - feeder league to the northern Premier league itself) scored the only goal with one minute of extra time to go beating a sidefrom two leagues higher than them.

We’ve spent hundreds of millions the past few seasons.
Yes but you referenced what Lampard was doing at Chelsea and specifically mentioned what Ancelotti is doing. So you have to compare where the squads were when they took over. What you have to consider is how good or bad a job the previous managers and DoF have done at both clubs. Our dealings have been a car crash to put it mildly. Whereas Chelsea's have been, at worst, reasonable. Then you look at how much each has spent since arriving.
We can't point the finger at Ancelotti and talk about the hundreds of millions spent over the last few seasons (since Moshiri took over basically) when Carlo's overseen a fraction of those dealings. At the same time, Lampard undoubtedly inherited an infinitely better squad and has overseen a massive spend since coming in.

Isn’t their big spend just investing what was withheld during the transfer ban?
