Thoughts from the first half -

Haller is a bit of a donkey.
We should of been all over Bowen.
Telles can't defend.
Pogba is an absolute myth of a player.

Rice to Soucek for the goal too, quite envious of that pairing in all honesty

The major thing that we need, a proper system and some continuity, what team do you see chopping and changing their system every other game and it actually succeeding? Obviously would help if we didn't have players getting injured / suspended constantly.
I make fun of Rice a lot and he's still an utter nothing player with the ball so the idea of him going to Chelsea or City is comical, but he does no how to sit and protect the backline which we so desperately need.

At this stage who cares what the managers name is as long as the players are doing their jobs on the pitch thats all that matters.

Fans have become obsessed with a good name - Newcastle fans are gutted when they win as they hate Bruce and still pine for Rafael who did nothing there just because he has won trophies at other clubs.

And some aren't for us. Carlos been here 12months.

Of course. But Moyes had time to build something.

Why can't we give ours a chance?

I could not be any more behind Ancelotti. As long as he wants to be here, I'm happy for him to be here.

But I am completely done with vast swathes of this squad. Nothing improves till they are gone. I just want to have Everton players i genuinely like and can trust to do their best.

But there are no long term guarantees either. If we don't improve quickly then we lose our better players.

It just depresses me how much we have regressed since the best moyes team. We needed to kick on but ended up falling miles back.

He's been there 8 days less than Ancelotti has been here
Main difference is West Ham were already sort of set up to play how Moyes wants to play and he's been able to build to that style quicker without chopping and changing. Carlo still hasn't settled in on a system and whatever system he did want wasn't doable with our midfield last season.

Weren't we in the top 4 with the 433 looking lethal infront of goal?

He had the system he just went crazy and binned it off / started playing players massively out of position.

If you cant deal with injuries you aint the right man for Everton as Everton get injuries.

I agree, he went a bit off the boil. Losing James, Richarlison and Digne for the Newcastle game meant he had to do things different, I get that, but to never really go back to the original system once those players (well not Lucas, but Nkounkou is at least similar going forward if he trusts him) doesn't make sense.

But even then, we've really only been working in what Carlo wants since the start of this year. Moyes hasn't switched since he came in.
