It was classless whinging from an insecure wanabee 'big club'. What she said wasn't exactly the worst comment either - Leeds and their hard running play style would have greatly benefitted from the break they got. Would they have complained as much if Souness et al had said the same thing?
100% yes Leeds have had digs at Tim Sherwood, Chris wilder, gabby abonglahor in the last couple of months.

also see a thread where Leeds have poked fun at clubs for a while

I doubt Burnley are going to get anything from this. Its looks like they've lent the money from Micheal Dell's MSD so ALK don't have to use their own cash up front in one go and can continue to use 'their' money to make investments. They'll probably use the club as something to load debt against in the future.

Good idea from marine, atleast they'll still be on TV but it would have been a sell out or atleast as many as they could of got in tier 2

WITH DESPAIR MARINE ANNOUNCE SPURS VIRTUAL MATCH TICKET CAMPAIGN TO REPLACE LOST REVENUE

A message to the footballing world from Marine Football Club:
Yesterday we received the devastating news that the Merseyside region would be placed into Tier 3. This has now forced our once in a lifetime FA Cup game at The Marine Travel Arena v Spurs to be played behind closed doors.
Our loyal fans have not been able to attend our Emirates FA Cup ties against Chester FC, Colchester Utd, Havant & Waterlooville and now Spurs with all games played with no fans.
It means too, the loss of attending what is without doubt the most magical FA Cup tie ever with the likes of Harry Kane and Jose Mourinho visiting Marine. It also means we have now lost c. £100k in potential revenue which is a disastrous blow for our football club. This has been compounded by a sponsor pulling out of a £20k advertising package for the game.
The Marine barometer will try and fill our 3,185 capacity stadium, the Marine Travel Arena. A club like Marine lives for this type of FA Cup run that can make or break the club’s future.
With this support, our magical FA Cup run will hopefully allow us to secure our future for years to come. We can’t express our gratitude enough for the support we have received so far from across the footballing spectrum.

Not sure where they got the figure of 100k from seems a bit high

Stadium capacity of 3k, how many would have been allowed to go the game 2k?

How much were the tickets?

Even if they sold a few merchandise and programmes it still seems farfetch’d to me

Had a look at fa cup website and it says they will get £20,500 if they lose. I imagine they also get paid for being on tv?
