My guess would be that Lampard is the wrong guy to fix that, and it would be the principal argument for making a change. I think he's smart enough to figure out the tactics or find help with that. I don't think he'll ever be the man-manager you need to be to succeed in that pressure-cooker. Play well, yes; get others to play well, no.

That said, he otherwise seems a good enough sort - which makes him a lot better than many of the characters in world football.
