The way Parish has kept Wilf a footballing slave at Palace is scandalous.

I mean come on poor fella could be duking it out for top 6 under Carlo yet is sat scrapping for 13th under Woy year in year out.

I've kept it bottled up but I cant any longer im discusted
lol reminds me of the joke where to a fancy dress party you had to come dressed representing a state of emotion (happy, sad, angry etc) and a bloke comes in with his schlong in a jug of custard. "What emotional state are are you supposed to be?" he was asked...to which he replied "I'm f###ing discusted"

Now that gives me an idea

First palace game all year I watched today. I mean wow they are horrible. How are they not in the relegation zone? They can't be this bad all the time.

They should have lost like 5 or 6 nothing, maybe they should have put one in. Still they should have conceded far more than 2.

They give away the ball in bad spots like it's their job. I think they'd have a better chance of winning if they just kicked it into the stands every touch.

Different manager, different team really. We can be a frustrating watch but we are 13th in the Premier League and in our 8th consecutive season in the top flight, twice as long as we have ever stayed before.
Roy will have to go soon due to age but we need to be careful; Stoke (Pulis) and Charlton ( Curbishley) are two examples where ambition and or delusion caused meltdown. We were missing Wilf tonight and Eze needs a rest. They are clearly our two most exciting players.
Brentfords boss?
Or take a punt on Swanseas manager for the banter, although hes doing ok.
As long as it's not mark Hughes ?

But this is exactly the problem. People just want to throw the rulebook out and decide on what they feel is right.

And refereeing intent is the most ludicrous thing I've ever seen. That crap needs to go. Judge the action that happened and don't try to read minds.
They say in refereeing theyshould apply common sense when necessary. I love to see it been applied whenever possible. That was the perfect moment for it to be applied. If you don't see that rolled back and not agree he didn't mean it with 100% no intent then you lack empathetic judgement. His twitch movement reaction as soon as he felt something on his elbow and the build up to the contact.

But I think you are saying even giving all that and if it is a mistake its still a red. Do you really think that's fair? In my view not everything isn't black and white and ok if its hard to tell 50/50 if its a mistake then there's a case for a red card. But using common sense that's a stone wall mistake.

I'm no fan of Mike Dean but the fall out from this sending off has been way OTT. He raised his arm and hit the Fulham player, I can see why he's given the red to be honest. The main irk should be with Mitorovic (I think it was who threw himself on the floor?). Why are the media going after the referee whose been put in a difficult position rather than the Fulham players for play acting? Same with Salah yesterday - it's like a players union, pundits lambast referees but never actually call out the player for outright cheating.
I agree with that partly. But the refs can't get a free pass on it in this day and age with VAR. The cheating would stop if they use VAR and make the right call. Its scandalous that they have that technology and still don't punish players cheating. If players are getting away with it even when it's clear as day under 10 replays and time to think can you blame them?

Before VAR, yes. The players should be getting tore a sunder. The ref has to make a decision in the moment after been coned. But time spent kicking up over the cheaters is time taking away from the issue that can eradicate it. Refs looking at it at 10,15,20 times and thinking the blatant dive or play acting is OK.

Something else to think about. Why does the ref sitting in the VAR hub scratch his head and ask the ref on the field to have a look? Like when you are sprinting around after players high on adrenaline and have been under mental and physical pressure. Are you in a better position to make a judgement call than the calm fella sitting in the VAR hub?

I guess Hodgson will retire or walk at the end of the season, who realistically do you think will replace him if/when he does go?
I honestly don’t know. Whoever it is, their task will be for more of the same; stay up at all costs while we continue to develop the academy (now Cat 1 status and the subject of a lot of investment).

I don’t think the Brentford fella would work for us. He likes to have too much of his own way for Parish. Cooper is doing ok but unproven.
He wouldn’t come but I would like Lampard. Would work for both really. Experienced manager who would be respected by the players and attract new ones, with no pressure on him to win anything but a job with an established PL club and a stable Board.
I know, I know.
