Leicester nick it right at the death from Iheanacho

So that’s United, City, Bournemouth, Leicester and Sheffield United through to tomorrow’s draw

Haha. Nothing terrible. It’s just that I read your post on how bad Palace are / were as the kind of “stream of consciousness “ style you might find in Woolf’s “Mrs Dalloway” or “To the Lighthouse.” James Joyce “Ulysses” would be another example.
In the 60’s and 70’s, standing on The Holmesdale I heard many more such examples but sprinkled liberally with wonderfully inventive expletives. Happy days.

I'll keep her in mind for future reading. I tend to stick to history but sometimes I wander off into other areas.

A not so great article in The Daily Mail today praising Citeh's record-breaking 15 wins in a row.
Funny how it doesn't mention that very convenient postponement of the game against a high-flying Everton when they apparently couldn't raise a team to play us.
I reckon we could have 15 wins on the bounce if we could pick and choose when we play.
Just saying....

Spot on - not to mention the huge benefit of effectively taking that week off - the chelsea match (their next one) showed how vital the extra legs were at that time. It is simply some of the most blatant cheating we have seen in the PL and because it touches on Covid everyone is afraid to call them on it.

really?

they had arsenal in the cup last round and played them in the league the next game as well

must be the first time that's ever happened in consecutive rounds surely in the cup where they play each other in the league straight afterwards
Yep, did notice what you said a few days ago, and thought like you that surely it has not happened before
