I think it's based on him saying at some point he would like to play for them.
But if he ran his contract down imagine the fee he would want up front, then his wages are reported at £600.000 a week tax free , that would be over a million a week in the UK , no way he takes a pay cut.
Can you see the Yanks committing all that money on one player over a 4 year deal say, I can't see it.

And the sign on fee too. It would be about 3 times what they pay their existing players now.

I wonder if PSG give it to him though, get him signed down long term.

Mbappe is going to Madrid. The only club for him to go to, not just because they're by far the biggest club in football but also due to the lifestyle.

he'd be mental to do that

Madrid or Manchester? No brainer

Don't forget he already has Angel Di Maria and Ander Herrara who have both already lived in Manchester and hated it no doubt being honest with Mbappe. Then there's the fact that City are an absolute peeon when it comes to prestige and don't even eat at the same restaurant, let alone table, as Real Madrid in that regard.

How much is Real Madrid's debt?
As outlined by Diario Sport, the gross total debt figure at Madrid now stands at a whopping €901m with the net debt at a figure of €355m.

Coming off of this pandemic season, can't see anyone wanting to do the numbers, but the number of clubs able to... is it out of the question he stays in Paris?

Obviously he'd be wise to stay in Paris for the next ten years.... but if he wanted to leave for Madrid then it'd be difficult to begrudge him that move.

Don't think they can afford him, not this season.

I imagine that there are a number of ways that a move could happen, Bale's contract is up next year after all and Mbappe's contract is up at the same time.

Pure speculation on my part of course but there will be a unofficial agreement between Mbappe and Madrid that he joins them in 2022.

Expecting some crying from Ipswich and condemnation from the FA, who were strangely silent when Mike Dean was getting death threats online recently. My uncle is a former ref at Football League level who retired due to injuries and health, became an assessor until he was forced out of the job by a big name ref in a high position at the FA and set up a support charity for referees at all levels because of abuse they were getting on the pitch both mental, verbal and physical and weren't getting any level of support or protection from both their county associations and the FA
