They need to adjust the law stating something like "not offside if its a part of the body you cant score with i.e your arm"

In this case it was ruled offside on the field, perhaps if the match officials had given it then it might have stood.

They were 8th on Christmas Day 23 points from 13 played. We were 4th, 26 from 14 and the RS were top 31 from 14.

West Ham were 10th on 21 from 14 played.
