I never get and still dont get why keepers pass to defenders that close to the goal, and even more when defenders etc try and be clever passing to the side, so many times we see this yet they still do it next game, It was all Arsenal who could have been 3up till that Goal, we have got Lucky a few times oursleves with Gomes trying to pass along our 18 yard box in a few games lately

Sooner we get rid of this stupid pa
ssing around in the penalty area (or is it p*ssing) the better. Whose idea was it in the first place?

I think it's to...

1. Keep possession
2. Draw the opposition closer in order to spread them out to create space
3. Make opposition forwards run more to get them a little more worn out

But I don't manage a Prem team and am only reposting what I have read elsewhere


However, if your defenders aren't calm under pressure or keep effing it up then it's not a good tactic
