I don't think it is - the problem is Son; if he plays there then Alli has to play in a position that doesn't suit him. Mou (and Poch in his later years) seem to have thought Son is undroppable because of his goals, but I am not sure they are a better side with him behind Kane rather than Alli.

I agree he doesn't suit starting necessarily, but then he should be on the bench. Dropping him completely and selling him is silly.

Nah it is good for Newcastle. Spurs don't really press and this will force them to actually play some amount of football. They have a chance to get one and be in it.

Possibly, but it's hard to get on board with this line of thinking when I see the camera pan to Steve Bruce on the touchline.
