Here's another question: say we bring back the intent part of handballs, if I say Dier knows he lost the header and purposefully puts his arm up to try and block it, can anyone be 100% sure I'm wrong?

I mean I am 100% sure that Dier made himself bigger and blocked a pass with his arm though.
To be completely honest I think the rule is okay. Ward's first handball against us was correctly ruled out, but when the arm is away from the body its justified. Players have to remember this from now on and not rely on "well I didn't mean it ref"

Well you said both were deliberate so you must think both were with intent...

My opinion is as Ward spins his arm spins with him and goes out. I also would argue it's still within his natural "silhouette too".

There is no way you can argue the below was Lindelof deliberately moving his hand in a fashion to connect with the ball. If you do then we shall end it here as further discussion is pointless.

Ward's arm moves before he spins though, and there isn't a corresponding movement from his other arm.

As for Lindelof, if by "deliberately" you mean he consciously decided to handle it then probably not. If he did that out of reflex to block the ball then he probably did, and of course that is enough for the penalty to be given.

I totally agree. And they will adjust just like they did with the offside calls last season that were very marginal. Don't have that issue nearly as much anymore.

We shall just agree to disagree on what's worthy of a pen.
