City are watching good players become old on their watch. Succession planning must be central to their model or they’ll be too much of a peaks and troughs club.

They’ve lost Kompany Toure Silva and will be losing Aguero soon. Who has Pep replaced them with?
He's probably not that bothered because he surely won't be staying many more years - his deal expires next season and he'll have been at City six seasons by then. Unless he's up for a major rebuild maybe he'd like some time off or to go and try to turn PSG into CL winners or something.

Fair to say age doesnt bother that fella

I think there plan is succesion plan post Pep - no point in bring Pep players in for possibly one year

Really difficult to do that though, at least in this league. Only United during the Ferguson years, and arguably Chelsea (though even then its been ruinously self-destructive) have done it.

Vardy is better than Kane despite being 33. Getting out of international footie while you are ahead does wonders for your career.
Wasn’t really a england legend though. Think he couldn’t be bothered to international weeks playing second fiddle to Kane, when he could be sat at home drinking red bull and eating Haribo

would be nice if he could win another league and see Klopp off though.

you have to kick all the olds out as well. the ones, especially former stars often become toxic as they are slowly pushed aside
