As City have shown, you dont need the best players in the world to win trophies.

I mean KDB is, but he wasnt.

City would not have won nearly the amount the did if Messi or Ronaldo was in England. That's what happens if someone that isn't them buys Mbappe. I'm not sure Haaland is that level but he might end up like Suarez or Lewandowski level and you still don't want to face that.

And that's without considering what happens to Europe. I mean if Mbappe knocks 3 or 4 in over two legs they'll start seeing how close to 200m they can get.

I'd imagine it has to do with Zidane being pretty straightforward with his set ups. He's not doing anything crazy but he never has to because he always has better players.
