If they get the chance to be patient - surely someone is going to have Saka off them this summer; he'd improve any side. Smith-Rowe might hang around a bit longer though.

No in this case 4th does get a Europa spot UNLESS the CL winners also come from the prem and finish outside of the CL places in the league.

5 teams can now come from the prem - so a max of one European trophy winner not already in the top 4 and the top 4 itself but 6 entrants aren't allowed. So if both winners are prem teams who are poorly placed domestically - in the second case both winners take precedent over the 4th placed team. The 4th then goes into the Europa League.

This season it's only likely if Chelsea win the CL and Arsenal the EL and both finish outside the top four.
