Stockport County have had a variety of owners over the years. They have lived in the shadow of the Manchester clubs and other bigger clubs in the region for years. That is why they have struggled for years. This long established football league club have battled away with f. all for years and now their owner has a few bob.
As much as the MK Dons like franchise Salford ?.....have a guess.
Buying success skews leagues. The circumstances of their purchase and their history have been entirely different.

Mate I literally support a team that were booted out of the football league for no real reason at all. I know about lower league hardship. I do not give one toss about Salford having a bit of money to celebrate being 9th in League Two.

The riches of one team does not stop a club having a good season in divisions where multiple teams can get promoted.
