I don't know what's pi$$ed me off more, the red card to Milosovic or the stupid, imo, commentary.

First, I don't like sliding tackles. There's usually no need for them and they have a low percentage success rate because most players aren't any good at them.

They'd be much better off staying on their feet when tackling.

Now, Milosovic clearly got the ball first and the follow through, which is usually called out is just momentum. You can't just pull up after kicking the ball.

And the commentary - I don't know who it was - 'That was a dreadful late tackle'. How was it late? You've got to get your foot to the ball when it gets there, not
two seconds after it's gone.

I know a lot of you won't agree with me, but I'm not changing my mind.

You can't let players go open season on opponents because they got the ball first.

I'm not saying we should, but it's clearly impossible not to 'follow through' and that's why I don't like sliding tackles. Do you know what a block tackle is?

I'm not trying to be smart, but it's not seen much or talked about in modern football. What we get now is the sliding tackle, even from the front like that crazy
tackle that got Richo sent off, or players backing away and not closing down.

There was a time when players stayed on their feet when tackling and it was far more effective and a lot fewer penalties and sendings off.

Showing your age there I think, my daughter must get fed up of me saying “great tackle that, wasn’t even a foul never mind a yellow”.
