Was it a pen? I think so albeit you'd be disappointed as the opposition tea. Did he scuff the penalty spot? Yes. Was it a blatant foul? Yes.

I don't think there was any contentious about the major decisions.
The thing that confuses me a bit is watching the replays you see Atwell motioning to Silva to get up. That's the reaction of everyone when they think someone dived. If Atwell thought he dived why didn't Silva get a yellow?

It genuinely might have been that, which would rightly suggest what you're saying is correct; or, it could be a 'you weren't fouled, so don't bother'.

You can go down, it not be a dive and equally it not be a foul.

Peter Walton now trying to make out that someone tripping up up a player in the box isn’t a pen.

Can’t remember pundits calling any Liverpool player a diver.

The bitterness of BT punditry is hilarious.

He’s taking a bit in the comments but I like his tweet about the commentary team. Keown and McManaman have vested interest in the game and were a disgrace all game. Especially the fabricated Dias incident by Keown. Then he kept quiet during the replay. The punditry teams these days are mostly full of ex RS and United players.
Mourinho complained about that a couple years ago and it's only gotten worse.

This is disgraceful from BT
I don't think the underlying point they're making is wrong because there is an issue with how VAR is implemented - we've said this before.

What is disgraceful is their own level of inconsistencies in the arguments they make, or don't make. There is clear an obvious bias for certain clubs.

Some would say that because we're Evertonians, so we're not subjective, but ask fans around the country and you get the same rhetoric.

Look at how often RS players (and the number of them involved) are part of BT Sport adverts, and you start to see the reasoning behind it all.
