I just watched the highlights of Spurs Chelsea, and this probably a stupid question, but when Kane scores how is he offiside? Isnt Rudiger standing on the penalty spot and how isn’t he the last man? Did the highlights glitch? Just watched again and Ruduger races back to the penalty spot to block the shot, that goes in.

As the ball is passed to Kane there is only one player between him and the goal. Looked a clear offside

Yeah, it's a clear offside because Kane is closer to the goal line than the ball and 2 Chelsea players.

Usually those 2 players are the keeper + 1 defender who is used to draw the line so to speak, but in this rare occasion the keeper is playing Kane off leaving only 1 chelsea player between Kane and the goal.

Thanks mate, the keeper was outside the box! i think i put a smudge on the telly when i jumped up pointing at it! Is that a smart play by Rudiger to know that, or just random, i guess the highlights dont give it any context.
